Veneno

  • The Lamborghini Veneno is a mid-engined sports car produced by Lamborghini to help mark the manufacturer's 50th anniversary and is a limited-production car using an upgraded version of the 6.5L naturally-aspirated V12 engine found in the Aventador. The Veneno was revealed at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show.
  • In Spanish and Portuguese, Veneno translates to 'Venom'. Only three models were produced at a cost of $3.9 million each, with a fourth prototype model designated 'Car Zero' on display in Lamborghini's museum. The three models come in red, white and green to represent the colours of the Italian flag although Car Zero is grey.
  • The Lamborghini Veneno is consistently focused on optimum aerodynamics and cornerning stability, giving the vehicle the authentic, dynamic experience of a racing prototype, yet it is fully certified for the road. The lightweight design of the carbon fiber frame is not only visibly evident, it also proves itself on the scales with a power-to-weight ratio of 1.93 kg/hp (4.23 CV/lbs), and thanks to its forceful twelve-cylinder, the Veneno guarantees a performance that is nothing short of mind-blowing.
